- I began stitching doll clothes as soon as I was old enough to hold a needle. I continued to sew for myself and then for my husband, children and grandchildren. In the Internet's early days, I created AnnTheGran.com as a forum in which home embroiderers could share designs and ideas. Since those early days, AnnTheGran.com has become the Internet's most visited home embroidery site, with a regular user base of over 250,000 people.
